Lash lift is becoming the new secret weapon to get long stunning lash looks from your natural eyelashes. Aside from giving you the wide-eyed pretty look that you always wanted, lash lift is a relatively low-maintenance option in comparison to using lash curlers, serums, or lash extensions. Below is a quick look at what makes the lash lift procedure better than traditional eyelash extensions.

Comparing Lash Lift vs. Lash Extension

Lash lift procedure works to lift and curl your natural eyelashes by using a revolutionary new formula and technique. On the other hand, extensions require using strong glue to attach fake eyelashes onto your natural lashes. Lash lifts generally last for around 8 to 12 weeks and do not require any maintenance in between. Extensions usually only last for only 3 to 4 weeks and typically need maintenance or touch-ups before they fall off. A refill or any such touch-up treatment is never required with a lash lift. In fact, some women even go for a lash lift in between lash extensions in order to give their eyelashes a break and let them grow longer normally.

Another key difference between lash extensions and a lash lift is that the former offers a fuller look when compared to the latter. A lash lift procedure can be combined with a tint to enhance the look of your eyelashes while still keeping a more natural and subtle appeal than lash extensions. However, getting lash extensions can take around 2 hours while it takes only about 45 minutes to get a lash lift procedure done.

Lash Lift Treatment Process

During your first visit to the salon, the technician will apply a keratin solution on your eyelashes to make them stronger and ready for the procedure. Your eyelids will also be closed during the entirety of the procedure in order to make sure that no solution irritates your eyes. Afterward, the lash lift professional will apply silicon pads on your eyelids just above the lash line. To learn more about becoming a certified lash lift technician contact us here.

Once that is done, the beauty technician will gently lift, separate, and curl your lashes following the curved shape of the silicone pad. They will line them securely and uniformly on the silicone pad and apply the last lift formula using a micro brush onto your lashes. This is then followed by the application of setting lotion to lock the new lifted and curled shape. Note that it is important to keep your eyelashes dry and protected from moisture for at least 24 hours after the procedure to get the best results.
